Creating a search feed from PubMed

 
  1. Open PubMed www.pubmed.gov
  2. Type in a search
  3. Run it
  4. Choose RSS Feed from the Send to menu.

  1. On the RSS Feed Page you may edit the name of the feed and limit the number of items to be displayed. If the number of citations retrieved is greater than your “limit” number you will have the option to link to PubMed to display the entire retrieval.

  1. Click Create Feed

  1. Click the XML icon to display the XML and copy and paste the URL into the subscribe form in your RSS reader. Web browsers and RSS readers may use different options to copy the feed.

Adding the feed to Bloglines

  1. Open Bloglines Feeds, click on Add and paste URL in, then click Subscribe button.

  1. Subscription options screen will open. Place tick beside feed name, set other options you want and click the Subscribe button again

  1. Voila – the feed appears in your list
